Two Fun Ways to Explore Outer Space in the QCA

If you have a child who loves outer space, these are such fun options that you can do right here in the Quad Cities.

Whether it’s May 4 – or any day of the year, these are some fun ways to ‘explore’!

Two fun ways to explore a galaxy far far away right here in your own backyard!

1. BHS Planetarium: I recently had the privilege to experience our local planetarium at Bettendorf High School, and while I was attending on a Field Trip with our daughter’s Kindergarten class, the immersive, narrated experiences available throughout the year to the public will bring us back for more!

2. Time And Date: A fun interactive website I’ve also recently discovered! Using your phone’s web-browser, you simply plug in your location and enable the 360 view, while holding your phone up to the sky. Using this you can see exactly what stars, constellations & planets are positioned above and around you in real time. This tool will be a fan favorite in my household not just on May 4th, but for stargazing this summer and beyond!

Enjoy exploring!
