Genesis Remembrance Tree

The Remembrance Tree Lighting Ceremony serves as a gentle and heartfelt way to honor and remember loved ones during the holiday season. It provides a supportive space for individuals and families to come together in remembrance and find solace in shared moments of reflection.


Kaiserslautern Square

Located at 119 E. 3rd Street, this free event will feature Quad City Arts carolers kicking off the holiday season as the huge Christmas tree is illuminated for the first time this season!


Lighting at the Commons

November 18

The tree is a 35-year-old Blue Spruce that is approximately 40’ tall and will contain approximately 30,000 lights. It will be lit on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the annual Lighting on the Commons ceremony to be held from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. on the John Deere Commons.


Festival of Trees

November 18 -26

A mesmerizing display featuring an 18-foot animated tree adorned with twinkly LED lights. The lights are expertly synchronized to popular holiday songs, creating a magical experience for all who witness it. Attendees are invited to watch in awe and wonder as the light show comes alive, illuminating the festive atmosphere at different times throughout the festival.


Rock Island Arsenal Holiday Tree Lighting

December 1 from 4:00p – 7:00p

The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Holiday Celebration aim to bring the community together to celebrate the joyous holiday season. It provides an opportunity for families and friends to enjoy festive activities, support local vendors, and give back to the community through donations to Toys for Tots.

Step into the enchanting world of a Swedish Holiday Celebration in Bishop Hill. Immerse yourself in the warmth of luminaries lining the sidewalks and the soft glow of candles in every window, creating a magical atmosphere. Live music will fill the air at various locations, adding to the festive ambiance. Witness young girls dressed as St. Lucia, serving delightful drinks and sweets in shops and museums across the village. All Bishop Hill restaurants and shops will be open, inviting you to explore and experience the joy of this unique Swedish holiday celebration.


Port Byron Christmas on Main Street
