10 Things to do with Toddlers in the QCA this Winter

Winter can be a magical time for toddlers with the right activities. Here are 10 ideas for fun and engaging things to do with toddlers during the winter!

1. Library Story Times & Crafts

2. Toddler Time at Elevate Trampoline Parks | Davenport & Milan

Children ages 6 and under jump for just $10 for 2 hours! One Parent (or guardian) can jump for FREE with each paying child. (Mon – Thurs only)

3. Visit a Quad Cities Museum

Museums are a fun and educational opportunity for families looking for an indoor activity. With 15+ locations, you’re sure to find endless fun this winter!

4. Explore the Sun Garden

Bring your own toys to dig, play, and build at the sand pile in the Sun Garden at the Quad City Botanical Center!

5. Musical Theatre and/or Dance Classes at Davenport Junior Theatre

Davenport Junior Theatre offers dance and theatre classes to littles aged 3+ (classes to require pre-registration).

6. Learn to Ice Skate at The River’s Edge

The Snowplow Sam class is designed for 3-5-year-old beginners with little to no experience. The class is focused on fun, comfort, and movement with games and toys. This class is conducted without parents on the ice with multiple dates/times to choose from!

7. Boundless Beats at Quad Cities Music Therapy

Attend a 30-minute fun-filled class for littles ages 15 months to 4 years.  The one-time drop-in rate is $15, or purchase a VIP 6-class pass at a discounted rate of $72. (Saturdays only)

8. Go sledding

Check out our list of several local sledding hills that your toddler will tirelessly trudge again and again!

9. Winter Reading Program

The program begins the first week of January and lasts about 8 weeks for ages birth through 6th grade! For themes and exact dates, please check our Quad Cities Libraries for locations.

10. Music in Motion at The Family Museum

On Monday and Wednesday mornings, littles are invited to jump, clap, run, and scoot through movements on soft gym equipment!
