It’s official: summer is winding down and fall is fast approaching. We can feel it in the cooler evening temps and we know it with the school buses back in action! I cannot think of a better way to end summer than a party… oh wait, I can! A party WITH a cause!
The Summer Social at THE Market is exactly that.
Get ready for an evening or day of delight (or come both days!) at The Summer Social at THE Market.
THE Market: A Journey to Joy is a 4,000 square feet retail space hosting 38 makers, crafters and curators that gives Quad Citians one of the most unique shopping experiences. Think Etsy in real life; or your favorite big weekend market brought indoors and available to you year-round!
THE Market along with WQAD are proud to host the Summer Social on August 23 from 4pm-8pm and August 24th from 10am-4pm to benefit Dress for Success Quad Cities.
Dress for Success Quad Cities
Dress for Success Quad Cities is an organization focused on helping unemployed or underemployed women search for a job successfully, learn how to interview, dress for the interview and the career, helps these women retain the job they want, and it offers career counseling of all kinds. Dress for Success is more than just clothes; it’s a non-profit that literally changes the lives of our fellow women, and thereby their families.
You know when the moms’ lives are better, the kids’ lives are better. Dress for Success is changing the future of these underprivileged families. After the recent flood, Dress for Success Quad Cities has found themselves on a hunt for a new location. Their former building being located in downtown Davenport and no longer rentable, they need more than their usual funds.
