90+ downtown businesses in Bettendorf, Davenport, and Rock Island are competing in this year’s Holiday Display contest!
Lighting on the Commons
November 18 | 3:30 – 6:30 pm
The Lighting on the John Deere Commons is a free annual community event that kicks off the holiday season. Join your friends and neighbors in downtown Moline for attractions that include Santa, horse-drawn wagon rides courtesy of MidAmerican Energy, live music, a children’s craft area, and of course, the famous Lighting Ceremony and Fireworks.
Festival of Trees
November 18 – 26
Welcome to the Festival of Trees, where holiday magic comes to life each year in downtown Davenport! Featuring over 150 designer displays, fun-filled attractions, special events, and the largest helium balloon parade in the Midwest, join us as we welcome back this 10-day holiday extravaganza in-person, bigger and better than ever before!
Symphony of Lights
November 23 – December 30
Visitors to the festival will enjoy the viewing of over 40 lighted displays, 500,000+ supporting lights, castles, streams, and a gingerbread lodge that fills a 1.1-mile loop of Eagle Point Park located off Highway 67 North.
iLLUMINATE by Crossroads
November 23 – December 31 | 5:30 – 8:30 p
A Nightly drive-through fundraising and awareness event for Crossroads and Senior Resources with 40 professional holiday light displays at Weed Park.
Holiday Light Display at Centennial Park in Rock Falls, IL
November 24 – December 23
Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Local businesses, churches, and organizations will have the park shelters and ground space all lit up with Christmas displays for all to enjoy! On Saturday, November 25th, no cars will be allowed as we will be offering horse-drawn carriage rides through the park. Admission is free, donations welcomed
Holiday Lights @ Fejervary Park
November 25 – January 7
Join us for the seasonal holiday lights display at the Fejervary Learning Center! Shows last approx. 15 minutes. A new show starts every 30 minutes beginning at 5 PM with the last show starting at 9:30 PM. Parking and viewing areas can be found online at www.davenportiowa.com/holidaylights

Vander Veer Conservatory Poinsettia & Light Display
November 25 – January 14
The annual holiday spectacular features countless poinsettias (and Paintsettias!), a multitude of lights, and extended Saturday evening hours. (Closed Mondays and holidays)
DeWitt’s Hometown Christmas

Lighted Parade – Starting on South 6th Ave, traveling north and ending at Lincoln Park
Kewanee Lighted Christmas Parade
December 3 | 5:00 pm
The parade will begin in the parking lot of the former Tenney Bowl, go onto McClure Street, and then end in Windmont Park to kick off the lighting ceremony.
Lucia Nights – Festival of Lights
December 8 & 9
Experience a unique Swedish holiday. Luminaries line the sidewalks and candles are in every window. Live music at several locations. Young girls dressed as St. Lucia serve drinks and sweets in shops and museums throughout the village. Soup Supper is available at the Methodist Church. All Bishop Hill restaurants, shops, and museums will be open.
Geneseo Christmas Lighted Parade

The 2023 Geneseo Christmas Walk presents: Gingerbread House Party! Festivities include: Ice Sculptures, Christmas Shopping, Trolley Rides, and a Gingerbread House Decorating Contest
Light up LeClaire Parade
December 10 | 5:30 pm | FREE
Participants get to light up their cars, trucks, or anything they would like for a chance to win the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place award! The parade will travel down Wisconsin Street from 15th Street to 3rd Street. Entry is free but you must be registered to participate. Join us for this festive event and help us celebrate the season!
Thank you for providing the holiday lights listing! Your listing was the only one I could find this year. I would suggest you consider adding 14th St, Moline between 18th and 19th Avenues. Homes on both sides of the street decorate quite heavily, especially for Christmas but also for Halloween.
