Halloween Parade

This is a great way to get a kickstart filling up your candy bags – without having to move! NEW THIS YEAR: Due to the construction of The Landing, the parade will begin at the intersection of 18th Street and Spruce Hills Drive. The procession will travel along Spruce Hills Drive, turn right on Middle Road, turn right onto 18th Street, and finish at the Family Museum/Faye’s Field Parking Lot.

Pumpkin Party

Bring the family for an afternoon of fall fun! Pumpkins, scarecrows, and crafts to celebrate the season. Want to spend some spooky time out in nature? Learn where some of our autumnal stories and traditions began as you wander the restored prairies of Sunderbruch park, celebrating the harvest time and the change of seasons. Meet at the giant sunflowers. Enjoy the wooded trails and FitCore Extreme Outdoor Fitness course afterwards.
Closed toed shoes are highly recommended.

Geneseo’s Scarecrow Row

As a part of Geneseo’s Scarecrow Row, children are invited to trick or treat at the Geneseo City Park among the Scarecrows from 10a-12p.
Geneseo businesses will be at the park handing out candy to trick or treaters, while a Halloween photo booth will be set up on the bandshell stage. GHS Silver Cord Volunteers are encouraged to sign up to help pass out candy to trick-or-treaters.
The trick-or-treating fun happens from 10a-12p, but the scarecrows will be set up at the park until 4p – offering people a chance to get an up close look at the scarecrows without the crowds.

Dress up your little ghosts and goblins for our 8th annual Not So Scary Halloween Walk. Bring your flashlights and explore the nooks and crannies of the Sun Garden – search for spiders, bats, jack-o-lanterns, and toads as you wander down the darkened pathways. Get a glimpse of the Halloween train in our popular train garden and make Halloween crafts. It’s not so scary in our gardens, making this event great for all ages.
The walk takes place both indoors and outdoors, so please dress according to weather and for a walk across our lawn. All children will receive a bag for treat stops throughout the gardens.
