Go, See, Explore: The Field of Dreams in Dyersville, IA

Growing up my family visited the Field of Dreams a number of times. Dyersville, Iowa (the town where the movie was set and where the field still stands proud) is a doable day trip from the QCA! It’s less than 2 hours away – depending on what part of the QCA you reside in. Plus, there’s lots to see and do in Dubuque if you have more time to spend (or if you want to do a weekend getaway or overnight!).

Field of Dreams was released in 1989 and has inspired millions and became an Academy Award nominee for “Best Picture of the Year.” The movie set, the home, the farm, the baseball field… a little piece of heaven on earth. It’s a place where reality mixes with fantasy and dreams can come true!

I love that the field and home have been preserved for so many years now – and that visitors can feel like they are part of an iconic movie.
