Located just 9 miles north of Davenport – Scott County Park is a hidden gem for local families to visit. With 1200+ acres – Scott County Park is the largest park in Scott County.
My kids love exploring Scott County Park — we enjoy nature walks and you can almost always find a deer (or many!). We love packing picnics and playing on a playground and in the summer the pool is fun for cooling off. In addition to the olympic sized swimming pool – there is a splash area for younger kids, a super fun slide – as well as a ‘kiddie’ pool.
Scott County Park has fourteen picnic areas and shelters with tables, grills and/or fireplaces accessible.
It offers:
- a baseball field
- playground equipment
- nature trails
- an equestrian area
- five unique camping areas
- an Olympic size heated swimming pool
- restrooms throughout
Winter activities include sledding, cross-country skiing, tobogganing.
