FAQ: BLOOM

0

It’s nearly time for our fourth annual BLOOM – a national event for new and expecting moms! And we can hardly contain our excitement – it’s one of our very favorite events each year.

We are so excited about our fourth annual QC-area BLOOM event for new/expecting mommas. This is one of over 50 events happening across the country – and we have a lot of really special surprises up our sleeves. We can’t wait to connect with you!

This is event is unlike anything else in the Quad Cities – and that means we have had some questions along the way. Here are some quick details!

Can I buy a ticket that night?

You can not buy a ticket to bloom at the door – this allows us to plan effectively. And we are close to selling out online – so grab your tickets before it’s too late.

What does my ticket include?

Trust us – you’ll have tons of great perks with that ticket. It includes:

  • food and drink – including hot dips, snacks and sweets
  • swag bags – which are jam packed with all the must-haves you need
  • incredible giveaways worth over $2500 total
  • mom and baby resources all in one place
  • shopping specials (including deals only available to Bloom attendees)
  • pampering – like chair massages, hair and makeup touchups, manicures and sugar scrubs
  • maternity photo sessions
  • make-and-take crafts
  • loads and loads of fun

What will the event be like?

This event is really intended to connect new and expecting moms. Whether you have several kids or are expecting your first, you’ll have a chance to meet other moms, eat and drink, learn from local experts, shop and be pampered.

It’s going to be an amazing evening we hope you won’t soon forget.

Where is it?

The Bloom event will take place at the Family Museum at 2900 Learning Campus Drive, Bettendorf.

What about parking?

There is plenty of parking right at the Family Museum. Feel free to use the overflow parking around the library or park as well.

Can I bring my kids?

This is really an event for moms – no activities or childcare will be provided. Nursing babies in carriers or slings are welcome. Due to the set up of our space, strollers are not permitted.

What about my spouse?

This event is definitely designed for moms – but if interested, your husband or partners are also welcome to attend. We just ask that each guest purchase a ticket in advance.

What will people be wearing?

Most people leave their yoga pants at home, but you can wear anything you feel comfortable in. Consider this a fun girls’ night out. You’ll see everything from jeans and leggings to dresses – so don’t stress and wear something you love!

Also – our friends at Giraffe Photography will be providing moms with FREE MATERNITY PHOTOS at the event. So consider wearing something you’re comfortable being photographed in.

Will there be food?

Guests will be able to enjoy hot dips, snacks and sweet treats.

Can I still sign up?

Yes – Tickets will be available until they sell out!

Do I need to print my ticket?

You won’t need to print your ticket. If you’ve purchased a ticket, your name and name tag will be on the list at the welcome table. (If you give your ticket to someone else, please make sure to contact us ahead of time to update name tags at kim@quadcitymomsblog.com.)

Hello! I’m Camye. I’m a small town Iowa girl who runs Quad City Moms Blog, a site designed to support, encourage, and connect moms in this adventure called motherhood. (You are not alone!) I have transitioned from early childhood teacher to stay-at-home mom to work-at-home mom. I have an artsy, creative husband and three rambunctious children- especially the 1-year-old! Balancing family, life, and blogosphere is a daily challenge. I love making to-do lists and checking things off, searching for the world’s best chocolate-chip cookie recipe, and tackling DIY projects. When the kids are finally in bed, you’ll find me curled up on the couch watching prime time with a computer on my lap.
