10 Things to do with Toddlers in the QCA this Winter

It’s winter and it’s COLD! I realize the importance of getting children outside even in winter but most days I prefer to find indoor activities. Below is a list of great indoor things to do with toddlers (and a couple outdoor…) in the QC and the surrounding area.

Don’t forget to always check the QC Moms calendar for special events going on around the QC area, many are toddler-friendly!

Toddler Time at Elevate Trampoline Parks Davenport & Milan

Children ages 6 and under jump for just $10 for 2 hours! One Parent (or guardian) can jump for FREE with each paying child. (Mon – Thurs only)


QC Toddler Zone

An indoor play space at NorthPark Mall for children to explore freely and parents to recharge, interact with other adults, or simply get some work done. A safe and engaging environment for children to learn through purposeful play. You can purchase play passes if you plan on going often or attend classes that include sensory play!


Winter Reading Program – “Beyond the Sea”

Say Aloha to reading this winter by signing up for the winter reading program. Receive a lei to kick start your tropical reading when you register and receive a book to continue your reading adventures at the end. You also receive a bracelet and charms along the way for your reading! The program is from January 14-February 11 for ages birth through 6th grade.


Visit one or many Quad Cities Museums

Museums are a fun and educational opportunity for families looking for good, indoor activities. With 15 locations, you’re sure to find endless fun this winter!


Learn to Ice Skate at The River’s Edge

Snowplow Sam 1 & 2
This class is designed for 3-5-year-old beginners with little to no experience. Our instructors work off and on ice to develop introductory skating skills. The class is focused on fun, comfort, and movement with games and toys. This class is conducted without parents on the ice. Multiple dates/times to choose from.

Snowplow Sam 3 & 4
This class is for 3-5-year-old skaters that have passed Snowplow 2 and would like to continue working on skills such as swizzles, backward skating, and gliding. Multiple dates/times to choose from. Prerequisite: Snowplow 2.

With over 18 attractions, your littles are guaranteed to have endless indoor fun, all winter long!


Boundless Beats at Quad Cities Music Therapy

Attend a 30-minute fun-filled class for littles ages 15 months-4yrs.  The one-time drop-in rate is $15, or purchase a VIP 6-class pass at a discounted rate of $72. (Saturdays only)


Musical Theatre and/or Dance Classes at Davenport Junior Theatre

Budding Ballet – ages 3 & 4: Our tiniest dancers learn ballet fundamentals all while having fun!
